I thought I may as well turn this into a series, as it’ll at least stop my complaints from going into every other entry.
I do like living here, for the most part, but sometimes I feel so depressed about things I miss..

Me and marius want to order food today, we rarely do this and..
There’s no pizza place that sells doughballs, has stuffed crust, has any base other than the cardboard-thin one, has double cheese..
Basically – they don’t have any American-style pizza anywhere.
The amount of times I have heard “We don’t have ________ in Germany”.. RARGH! completely normal common things as well.. Toffee popcorn.. Cheddar!!
Supermarkets here.. ARE AWFUL. (I am weirdly obsessed with supermarkets) I always remember the first time I came to germany being shocked by just how horrible the supermarket was. I’ve been to a lot now, and most are really similar – not much fresh food(I guess most people get fruit from the markets in the summer..), not clean enough, loads of canned/boxed things..
There’s no good place with take-out. NONE!!
Everything is closed on Sundays.
And all the stupid holidays.
Movies are usually dubbed, it’s difficult to find a place to watch movies in English with subtitles instead.
It costs 70 euros to buy a video game (that’s around $95 or £60) so we have to order them from the UK, same with camera/laptops etc, all more expensive here.
It’s too cold! I think this is causing me to get more irritated, I hate winter.. and they are much worse here than I am used to. I think this has been an extremely bad one though, the temperature has been going down to -17°C.. and rarely above like -2.
The snow. I thought it was starting to fade, but noooo. It’s been every day since like late November. :\I have to wear so many layers of clothes, I can’t wear anything nice anymore. Have to wear stupid hats and gloves all the time and my hands are constantly shaking, the cold goes through all of my shoes very quickly – even the boots I bought specifically for winter are un-wearable in this weather.

It’s new years eve! So this post is all about what happened to me in 2009! :)
One of the first photos I took in 2009 (on the 6th of January)

The biggest thing that happened this year was that I moved out of my parents house in England to live in Germany with my boyfriend, Marius.
This happened around Mid-January.

The view from our room in Marius’ parents house.
We lived at Marius’ parents house for a couple months before moving to our apartment.
Me and Marius didn’t like it very much there, but we lived really close to an amazing ice cream cafe.

Related fact: There are a lot of ice cream cafe’s in Bamberg.
We ended up moving to a new place in October, which is a lot nicer and closer to the town centre.

Where we live is verrrry different to where I lived in England, the main thing I think is, it’s very quiet.
I really miss going to London, Bamberg isn’t very.. modern.. O___O
All the stores I am used to aren’t here.. The nearest starbucks is over an hour away!

Also the weather is different, it’s hotter in the summer and it snows a lot in winter – and England was very windy in comparison.
I don’t like most of the food here, there isn’t as much variety. Most of the places to order from are disgusting, and nowhere sells Japanese food.
But Marius is a really good cook so it’s not that bad. :O
I went to the london expo in May with my cousin & my sister, it was so much fun!
A LOT of people cosplay and there were so many amazing ones~ Also the weather was great, really sunny and warm.
I can’t wait until May next year when we can all get together and go again :)

We went to the trocadero in London and played games in the arcade.
I tried macarons from Laduree (in Harrods)
We went to china town a lot, eating in Tokyo Diner *O*

I went to the England again in October
I took a lot more photos as I had my new camera, but I think the expo was more fun in May. :)
There I met Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette in True Blood)!

I went on a cruise (my first cruise) of the baltic sea in the summer:

Top to bottom; Helsinki, St. Petersberg, Stockholm & gourmet restaurant on the ship
We visited Estonia, Russia, Finland, Sweden & Poland.
It was (mostly) fun, especially Helsinki & Stockholm.
Links for each as I made a seperate entry for each place we visited.
I got this laptop:

This cell phone:

This camera:

I loveee them.
Music, TV shows & Games:
I started watching Veronica Mars, Supernatural & True Blood this year!
All 3 are definitely among my favourite TV shows.
I started listening to Lady Gaga ♥
I started playing Pet Society on facebook, which I am now addicted to.
I started playing my xbox 360 a lot again. :) I have many games for christmas that I’ll soon start playing.

I got glasses and found out I have astigmatism. :(
![]()
It makes me so miserable to see the difference in how things look when I put on my glasses.. I don’t wear them very much (I don’t like how I look in glasses), but I can’t see well without them, can’t read things from a distance at all..
But I like wearing sunglasses, so it is not as bad during summer.

Yuki got (half O___O) neutered in September. He was verrry sad for a week after the surgery and weak. :(
He had to wear that cone for 10 days.
I think he had a good year other than that haha
Foods: I love steak now *O*!
And bratwurst.
And risotto.
I actually like a lot of foods I always thought I hated, if Marius makes them. :|
I ate a lot of crepes this year xD

My favourite drink of 2009: virgin pina colada. ;O
I love non-alcoholic cocktails, I first tried one on the cruise.. sooo good.
Also frappuccinos! Chocolate creme ones.

Presents I got for my 18th Birthday:

In November me and Marius visited our friend Judith, in Belgium ^^

I had my first christmas in Germanyyy~

It looks nice, the photo doesn’t show how painfully cold it was. I could feel the cold through my boots really bad and I kept shaking.
Nuremberg is nice. It’s stressful for Marius to drive around though.

Pina colada I had at the cinema. It’s pink! ^O^
I took these yesterday.
It was pretty dark so they are not the best quality, also it was very cold so my hands were shaking a lot.

They are all so blue.. >_>
I think it looks rather depressing.

I need to get better with my camera! xD The first few shots don’t look as nice as I’d hoped.. But this one ^ came out the nicest I think.

A few more photos from the Bamberg Christmas markets. I took these photos about a week ago I think~

Had to have wagamama’s in Belgium! ^^
(They don’t have it in Germany)

Lunch we had the following day:

Wasabi in Waterloo, London

I had never been to this place before, but it’s really nice!
Very cheap as well.~
I tried mochi… Which was very strange.. I like the outside.. xD
Photos around London:

Photos from London Trocadero:

Here’s some photos I took around China Town, London:
